The detail and crispness in this is good. For some reason, that thing seems edible to me >.>;

In life there's always a difference between doing what you're supposed to do and doing what you want to do. But in a real life, doing what you want to do is what you're supposed to do, or you're simply failing at living.

i love this colour series :D

i think the effect i like most about this is how a simple colour tone difference has completely removed the bud from the rest of the image. It almost looks out of place and completely unrelated to the background-as if it was imported to rather than enhanced from the image.

I've no idea how you do this sort of thing, but it makes very interesting images :)

thanks,

the effect used is one of the simplest in photoshop. it's actually so generic it makes me peuk when i use it too much. I used to just grab a section of the photo and desaturate it. But I find recently I've been more careful and actually blow the photo up and lasoo everything. Then I add a layer of black and apply the "color" blending mode. I delete the areas from this layer within the selection, this keeps the original colour showing through. This method of "desaturation" is a far better method than the "desaturate" adjustment in photoshop and creates a better quality of black and white photo.
