Hey Mark! It's actually an HDR image. I used 3 different exposures of the same image to boost the dynamic range. It's a really cool method, but sometimes it looks overprocessed like it does here. You should check it out. You can use PhotoshopCS to merge the HDR and use a program called photomatix (or photoshop plugin) to adjust the levels of the shot. You can get Photomatix here : [link]
wow. for some reason, and I can't exactly put my finger on it...this is highly captivating. the effects are so smoothe and natural, it's almost like life looks like that. (which I imagine is whta you're goingf or with photo manipulations such as this.) anyway, now that I doub myself Captain Obvious...I like this. a whole lot.
